What I loved most about Wendy and Todd’s wedding day was how they stayed true to themselves as a couple and focused on what brought them joy.
One of those joys was having their closest family and friends by their side. With fewer than 30 guests, the event felt truly special — an intimate gathering of their favorite people.
The couple discovered their venue while strolling through the side streets of Barrio Logan. They were drawn to the eclectic, art-forward vibe of Grand Artique and knew it was the perfect spot. The venue, a mixed-use space hosting everything from yoga classes to art workshops to intimate weddings, was originally an old Mission Church. Its transformation relied almost entirely on reused, repurposed, and reclaimed materials.
During the ceremony, each guest held a stone as their connection to the couple and the day. As Wendy and Todd exchanged vows to "have and to hold," their guests held onto these stones, which were later collected as keepsakes from the celebration.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to photograph private and intimate events like this. I meet wonderful people like Wendy and Todd and document their interactions on an extremely significant day.
